BV Cyclotron VU is an experienced GMP productions center in the Netherlands since 1987. With our three cyclotrons we produce radiopharmaceuticals and radionuclides for medical diagnostics and research.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1987
BV Cyclotron VU has rapidly developed into a well-established global specialty pharmaceutical company running three modern cyclotrons and several cleanrooms, equipped with the newest hot-cells, synthesis- and dispensing equipment.
Since the beginning, we have pioneered in medical isotope production in The Netherlands and have operated exclusively in the expanding field of nuclear medicine. Our emphasis on research and development indicates that our products are not limited to applications in oncology, but are also used to explore other fields such as neurology and cardiology. Our annual output has been growing steadily, with a current production output of at least 80.000 patient doses per year, typically used PET imaging.
We supply six distinct market-leading radiopharmaceuticals and radionuclides used for research, diagnosis and treatment planning of patients.
Our Fludeoxyglucose (18F), Fluorocholine 18F and PyLTM (18F-DCFPyL) for Injection, are mostly used by nuclear medicine departments of hospitals in The Netherlands.
Our longer-lived isotope, Zirconium-89 (89Zr) is mostly used by researchers from academic centers, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and medical device manufacturers worldwide, while the KryptoScanTM (81Rb/81mKr) generator is used within Europe.
We are also the inventors of the type A transport container made of Lead or Tungsten.
